Location: Cork (hybrid)
Type: Full-time
About Us
Springboard Communications is an award-winning, independent Irish communications agency, proudly named PRCA Agency of the Year 2025 and a certified B Corp.
We partner with ambitious organisations — from global change-makers to local innovators — to deliver strategic communications that drive meaningful impact. With offices in Cork and Dublin, we’re a growing, purpose-driven team that thrives on collaboration, ambition and authenticity.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Client Director to join our senior leadership team. This is a pivotal role at the heart of the agency, leading some of our most high-profile accounts and shaping strategies that deliver measurable results.
You will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, providing clarity and calm judgment. Beyond client leadership, you’ll play a central role in our growth story: strengthening relationships, spotting opportunities, mentoring emerging talent, and representing Springboard in new business conversations.
This role is suited to a senior professional who wants to make their mark in a growing agency — someone who combines commercial acumen with a passion for communications that make a difference.
What You’ll Do
- Lead client strategy & counsel: Develop integrated communications strategies and provide advice to clients and senior stakeholders.
- Champion outcomes & impact: Ensure campaigns deliver measurable results, supported by clear evaluation and reporting.
- Grow accounts with integrity: Identify opportunities to deepen partnerships, upsell and cross-sell services, while maintaining strong client relationships.
- Drive commercial performance: Oversee profitability across your portfolio, managing scopes, pricing and resourcing effectively.
- Lead new business opportunities: Shape credentials, guide proposals, and front pitches with strategic insight and creativity.
- Develop talent: Mentor and line-manage managers and executives, modelling best-in-class skills in writing, media relations, and stakeholder engagement.
- Set the standard: Uphold B Corp values and champion inclusivity, ethical communications and strong governance.
About You
- 6+ years’ experience in communications, with proven senior leadership. Agency background strongly preferred.
- A third-level qualification in Communications, PR, Journalism or related discipline.
- Strong track record of strategic client counsel, new business success, and creative thinking.
- Deep understanding of media, executive profiling and narrative development.
- Skilled in budget management and commercial decision-making.
- A values-driven leader who develops people and fosters culture.
Why Springboard:
- Hybrid working.
- Competitive salary with a bonus structure.
- Pension contribution.
- Clear career progression in a growing agency.
- Ongoing training and development.
- A purpose-led culture — as a B Corp, we put people and planet alongside profit.
