Award-winning Irish goldsmith Tuula Harrington of Designworks Studio is to hold her first showcase and pop-up shop of her stunning new jewellery collection next week at Origin Gallery, 37 Fitzwilliam Upper, Dublin 2.

Taking place on Thursday, June 8 at 6pm, the event is a one-night only exclusive opportunity for clients and the public to view, try on, and purchase Tuula’s Duille Nua collection, meaning “New Leaf”. In addition, Tuula will be unveiling unique one-off pieces for the first time, made in 18ct gold with gemstones such as tourmaline and opal. She will also showcase a range of her stunning diamond engagement rings.

Duille Nua is Tuula’s first ready-to-wear range, with the designer already renowned for her bespoke pieces. She has created jewellery for a former president of Ireland and celebrities such as singer KT Tunstall.

The updated contemporary collection, Duille Nua is inspired by new beginnings and plays with imagery of the stylised leaf and simplistic branch. Tuula will be there on the evening to speak to people about her vision for the range and the high-end raw materials she ethically sources to create her jewellery.

Speaking on the event, Cork-based Tuula said: “As I have an online shop, I already have a number of Dublin-based clients, many of whom have requested that I bring my new collection to Dublin. Therefore, answering the demand, I have decided to hold a one-night only pop-up in the beautiful surrounds of the Origin Gallery.

“My focus with Duille Nua is to create elegant wearable pieces that are on-trend but will last a lifetime. This is a collection that really needs to be seen in person.”

Tuula has previously won Jewellery Designer of the Year at the Irish Fashion Innovation Awards.

Designworks Studio opened on Cornmarket Street in Cork city in 2011, with the retail gallery and workshop space promoting a greater awareness of authentic Irish design and jewellery craftsmanship.
