Minister for Agriculture to open farming seminar in Cork
Members of the farming community will come together for a unique farming seminar entitled, “Your farm, your business”, on the 19th of October 2012, to discuss the success of their farms from a legal, financial and taxation perspective. Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Simon Coveney TD will open the event, which will begin at 7.45pm at the Carrigaline Court Hotel. It is a free event, open to all in the farming community.
The seminar will offer expert advice with speakers Gail Enright (Michael Enright and Co Solicitors), Michael Brady (Brady Group – Agricultural Consultants & Land Agents) and Ned Murphy (Moore Stephens Nathan) discussing topics such as Estate Planning, Land and Conveyancing issues, Farm Profitability, Farm Accidents, Farm Taxation and the Budget 2013.
Pat Lehane of the Irish Farmers Association will act as Chairman at the event and it is expected that over 150 members of the farming community will attend.
Speaking about the event, Michael Brady (Brady Group – Agricultural Consultants & Land Agents) said: “Whatever direction your farm business takes in the next decade there will certainly be financial and physical challenges. Applying for finance, dealing with tax problems in good years and cash flow issues in bad years, and managing the handover of your farm to the next generation are all part of the game. It is therefore vital to have a good team of advisors around you to help you make informed decisions for you, your family and your farm business. A good solicitor, accountant, and financial planner should all know each other and be fully aware of the goals you have set for your farm business.
Gail Enright (Michael Enright & Company, Solicitors) added: “Michael, Ned and I work together for clients on an on-going basis, so for the first time ever, three key professionals are coming together to offer a unique insight to farmers on how best to secure the future of their farm.”
This high level event will offer members of the farming community information on a variety of topics through talks and information stands and also provide the opportunity to network with individuals and company representatives from the farming industry. To register for this unique event please contact Michael Enright & Company Solicitors on 021 4278200 or email enquiries@michaelenright.ie.
