Seabrook Technology Group signs channel partnership agreement with Siemens PLM Software for Ireland and UK
Seabrook Technology Group, a wholly Irish-owned manufacturing software specialist, today announced its partnership with Siemens Industry Software in Ireland and the UK. The partnership enables Seabrook to offer Siemens’ de facto standard PLM (Product Life Cycle Management) software to its new and existing clients in Ireland and in the UK. This partnership will strengthen Siemens distribution of the Teamcenter Product Life Cycle Management software in Ireland and ensure Ireland’s transition to digitized manufacturing.
The announcement was made at Enterprise Ireland’s high-profile showcase for medical device and diagnostic products, MedinIreland 2015, officially opened by An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny TD.
The partnership is expected to generate revenue of over €1 million Euro in the first year to eighteen months for Seabrook. It will lead to the creation of eight new high-level jobs, six at its Cork offices and two in the UK. The technology firm has been operating in Ireland for 26 years. Over the past three years it has tripled its workforce and expanded into the US, with offices in California and Indiana.
Welcoming the announcement Taoiseach Enda Kenny said: “Seabrook is a great example of a highly innovative, export-focused, Irish software company with a world-class product offering in the medtech sector. Seabrook’s partnership with Siemens PLM Software is a testament to the quality of their product offering which has seen the company grow its workforce and expand into global markets while this announcement today will create an additional six new high level jobs in Cork. I would like to congratulate both companies on this exciting partnership and wish them continued success for the future”.
Siemens PLM Software’s digital technology is transforming manufacturing and allows clients to develop and optimise products on an entirely virtual basis. The software effectively ‘closes the loop’ in the manufacturing process; it enhances and integrates every aspect of the process, from planning and development through to production and support.
The PLM industry is predicted to be worth US$50.7 billion by 2017. (CIMdata)
