Springboard’s 2017 highlights
A spring in our step!
As we welcome the arrival of 2018, we have taken the time to reflect on the past year and all it brought. We had a fantastic 12 months at Springboard HQ and we had to share some of the highlights with you!
1.BUSINESSWOMAN OF THE YEAR
We were simply over the moon when our MD, Susie Horgan, was named as the Overall Winner and Cork Businesswoman of the Year for 2017 at the Network Cork Businesswoman of the Year Awards. Susie also spoke at a number of events, including an Eir Spiders Digital Workshop, and acted as MC at the Ireland China Business Association event, ‘Demystifying the Chinese Opportunity For Ambitious Irish Companies‘.
2.EXPANSION
This year, we marked our fifth birthday with a relocation to larger office space on South Terrace in Cork City, and the opening of an office in Dublin. Springboard has also welcomed two new team members. Client Manager Ciara Flaherty previously worked at the Irish Examiner and breakingnews.ie, where she focused on digital content. Client Executive Holly Ní Ghráda joined us from the food company Folláin Teo,where she managed their digital presence.
3.SPONSORSHIP & EVENTS
We were delighted to sponsor the Annual Cork Chamber Dinner in 2017, which was a remarkable success, and we look forward to doing it all again in 2018. If you can’t be there, we’ll have lots of pictures from the night itself on February 2, along with other events and happenings on our new Instagram profile. Follow us on @springboard_pr. We were also very lucky to have had the opportunity to sponsor the annual Shine Centre for Autism Charity Valentine’s Ball this year, a great charity that works with children and adolescents with autism, providing assessments, therapies, services and appropriate education.
4.NEW CLIENTS & FAVOURITE PROJECTS
As always, we are very lucky to work with wonderful clients across the tech, culture, tourism and professional services sectors. In particular, this year, we loved working on the Waterford Greenway launch, a campaign which was trending for four days straight and featured in top international media including Lonely Planet, National Geographic and Culture Trip. We also worked pro bono with Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland to help them announce the fantastic news of their first litter of puppies. We had the opportunity to manage events and conferences in the Aviva Stadium and Páirc Uí Chaoimh for our clients, and worked with Tánaiste Simon Coveney TD and Minister Mary Mitchell O’Connor TD. Recently, we have welcomed on board new clients, so stay tuned to our news section on our website for updates on some very exciting projects in 2018.
