Springboard PR & Marketing is now Springboard Communications. 

I started Springboard Communications nine years ago. In that time, I have been fortunate to work with amazing clients and the hardest-working expert team. 

When I started, the goal was simple – please let someone call today and ask for my services! They weren’t lofty, they were about survival. 

Our goal is still straightforward – to partner with our clients, to continue to have a positive impact and to build together. 

Why, you ask, have we now changed just the PR and Marketing to Communications? Well, communications is a truer reflection of what we do. In my opinion, Public Relations is communications and well, marketing is too. Communications better represents what we offer our clients. We as a team are very at home across digital and traditional platforms and we wanted our name to reflect that. We need a name that allows for our growth into new service offerings in creative and digital capabilities. A name that not only encompasses external outlets but also internal communications. 

In a connected world where many are working remotely, location is no longer a barrier. Demand for internal communications, thought-leadership and digital content, while prevalent pre-pandemic, is now at the forefront of communications needs worldwide. 

Now is the time for a step change for our agency as we set our sights on global opportunities. We can build your global internal communications strategy; develop your editorial content for your digital platforms; or generate your insights and opinions as a leader in your field – all from right here in Cork. 

Who knows maybe in time we can open in other locations – but for me I want to work with the best and be the best, and I know my team in Cork is the best. 

Now, before you think lockdown has gotten to me, our ambitions are credible and realistic. Truth be told, I have limited us. I had thought that because I was not part of a big global agency I couldn’t offer my clients our services in their other locations around the world. Time and time again, we have had to take a back seat to an agency in a new location. Why? Simply because we do not have an office there. While I know it can be challenging to manage reactive media relations from a different country, that is only one piece of what we offer. In tandem with our clients’ needs, we have built six key services areas across strategy, content, internal communications, media relations, thought-leadership and measurement and reporting. These core services are relevant and adaptable, no matter what locations your company has a presence in. You can find out more about what we do here.

I choose to build my business here, but why can’t this Cork business with our team of strategists, digital natives, creatives and writers take on the world! 

We started the evolution with Spring³, our content offering, but I knew we had to go further to truly show our clients how we can partner with them on every aspect of their communication needs: from launching a new service or product to engaging your employees and building a community online.
