As we prepare to welcome 2019, the team here at Springboard has taken the time to reflect on the past year and all it brought. We have put together this video showcasing 2018, or you can read each of the team’s highlights below. Here are our top highlights from the last 12 months.

NATIONAL AWARDS

Susie Horgan — Managing Director

“2018 was a fantastic year for Springboard. The team, once again, worked incredibly hard and their work and creativity was recognised with the winning of two national awards. In April, we won the National All-Star Business Awards for best media/communications company and in June, we won Best Public Sector Campaign at the Awards for Excellence in Public Relations for the launch of the Waterford Greenway. I know how good the team is here, and I am delighted that the accolades have followed.”

“For me personally, a highlight in 2018, was being invited to join the board of the UCC Academy, a subsidiary of UCC. This is an honour and something I am thoroughly enjoying being part of. I also ‘ate the frog’ and pushed myself out of my comfort zone to speak at more events, including the UCC Commerce Society Annual Conference and the Local Authorities Ireland Communications Conference in Dublin.”

NEW CLIENTS & PROJECTS

Maria Tracey — Client Director

“We are lucky to work with wonderful clients across the tech, culture, tourism and professional services sectors. This year we welcomed new clients, including Cork Airport and Waterford City & County Council with Winterval.

We also loved working with Travel Counsellors, especially on the 40 years of travel industry excellence of General Manager at Travel Counsellors Ireland, Cathy Burke. We worked on some great projects including the Ireland Chapter of Project Management Institute’s (PMI) National Project Awards, Cork Film Festival, the opening of the EMEA office for HealthKit, Cork Midsummer Festival, and the launch of Ireland’s only completely paper-free compostable cup by Zeus. We also worked with Workvivo on the launch of the first enterprise-grade platform to combine employee engagement and internal communications.

LAUNCH OF SPRING3

Ciara Flaherty — Client Manager

“Earlier this year, Springboard surveyed over 400 Irish business professionals and we discovered that 36% of organisations do not have a clear digital marketing strategy.  Our survey results also showed that Irish businesses are lacking the time, resources and know-how to effectively create, plan and implement their digital marketing activities across the channels that best suit their business needs. For that reason, we launched Spring3, our new digital content framework. Spring3 leverages and amplifies the content channels of paid owned and earned media to power  successful, cohesive digital campaigns for Irish businesses across all sectors. MULTIMEDIA

Holly Ní Ghráda – Client Executive

“Video is a great way to communicate your key messages. This year, was our busiest year for video content, from big sweeping productions to capturing company milestones (such as the below). Working on these from start to finish has been a very exciting part of our day-to-day activities.”

THE CORK CHAMBER ANNUAL DINNER SPONSORSHIP

Megan Pardy — Digital Manager

“We were delighted to once again sponsor the Cork Chamber Annual Dinner last February at Cork City Hall. It’s always a fantastic night, with over 1000 Irish business leaders in attendance. MC Jonathan Healy was on hand to keep the event moving; the keynote speaker was Caroline Dowling of Flex, who gave an insightful and honest speech. Springboard is looking forward to the next Annual Dinner in February 2019, coming as the Cork Chamber celebrates 200 years.”

NEW STAFF

Camila Stefanelli — Office Administrator

“It’s been an amazing experience working in Springboard, having the opportunity to work alongside a great team of professionals. I’ve been with Springboard since July, and since then have been able to see that the combination of hard work, creativity and teamwork can achieve real results, and how important PR and marketing can be for a company.”
