Springboard PR & Marketing 2019 Highlights
As we prepare to welcome 2020, the team here at Springboard PR & Marketing Ireland has taken the time to reflect on the past year and the successes it brought. Here are our top highlights from the last 12 months.
A year of rewarding projects & a growing team
Susie Horgan — Managing Director
“What a great year 2019 has been. Our team has continued to grow and we have worked on really rewarding projects, such as the award winning campaign #lovetakingoff at Cork Airport, along with innovative internal comms projects with laya and Depuy.
The world of communications is changing and the way in which we consume information is an ever-evolving landscape — our team has embraced and built on this change in a way that truly reflects the strength of their experience.
In 2020, we have lots more exciting plans with new offerings coming on line that directly address our clients’ needs and new team members joining. We also have some very interesting projects in the pipeline, which we are really looking forward to working on. Thank you to all our clients and the wider business community for their continued support. Roll on 2020!”
Being elected PRO for Network Cork Ireland
Maria Tracey — Client Director
Springboard PR & Marketing Ireland
“My standout highlight for 2019 has to be being elected PRO for Network Cork Ireland. I have been a member of Network Cork for the past four years, and have seen first-hand how the organisation encourages and promotes women, with our very own MD Susie Horgan winning Network Cork Businesswoman of the Year in 2017.
This is a one-year voluntary role that will involve the development and implementation of communication strategies for the not-for-profit Cork organisation for women in business, professions and the arts.”
Communicating Success
Ciara Flaherty — Client Manager
Springboard PR & Marketing Ireland
“What a year of good news for our clients! I was privileged to work on some inspiring projects this year as organisations opened EMEA offices, launched innovative service offerings and announced new jobs.
From Cork Chamber’s 200 year anniversary celebrations and marking Oxford Global Resources 25 years in Ireland to Cosmetic Creations officially opening their Cork campus in the former Yves Rocher site and Zeus’ series of strategic acquisitions, it was a year of milestones, reflecting on past achievements and making plans for the future.
As always, it was a pleasure to communicate the diversity, commitment and ambition showcased by our clients, and I am already excited for what 2020 will bring.”
Festivals
Holly Ní Ghráda – Client Executive
Springboard PR & Marketing Ireland
“I always enjoy working on festivals and cultural events with Springboard, getting the inside scoop on what’s going on in the city. This year we had the privilege to work with SeaFest, Ireland’s largest free, family-friendly maritime festival.
Taking place at the Port of Cork, Cork City, from 7- 9 June, more than 90,000 visitors attended the Festival, with over 100 free events all celebrating our oceans. One particular highlight of the Festival for me was getting to interview the high-wire circus artist Chris Bullzini ahead of his breath-taking aerial walk across the River Lee. AMAZING!”
Joining the Springboard team and moving home to Cork
Laura Fitzgibbon — Digital Lead
Springboard PR & Marketing Ireland
“2019 was a busy year both personally and professional with a long-awaited move home from London in September, topped off with joining the team at Springboard in November. I’m delighted to be working in the heart of Cork city with leading Irish businesses and cultural events. After only a few weeks I can see I’m going to enjoy being part of such an ambitious and creative team here at Springboard. Roll on the New Year!”
Celebrating a year with Springboard
Camila Stefanelli — Office Administrator
“This year marks my first year with Springboard and I loved seeing how we communicated on behalf of our clients, including the work on some exciting annual festivals such as Winterval and Cork Film Festival. It is nice to see the hard work that goes on behind the scenes to bring such events to life. I really enjoyed making sure the office has everything it needs to run smoothly and facilitate the great work being done.’’
Completing my Master’s Degree
Kate— Junior Account Executive
“My 2019 highlight is completing my Masters degree in Management & Marketing at UCC and starting with Springboard as Junior Account Executive. This new role is providing me with the opportunity to work on really interesting projects, such as the official opening of Cosmetic Creation’s manufacturing site in Cork. I am finding it rewarding to be learning so much and developing my skills with the driven team at Springboard. This year has been great and I’m looking forward to seeing what 2020 brings!”
Wishing all our clients and friends a merry Christmas and a happy New Year. For more on how we can work together in 2020, email info@springboardcommunications.ie.
